According to the Bangkok Post cock-and bullfighting are still prohibited in the province of Chonburi where Pattaya is located but from now on (Feb 1st?) you can have a beer with your dinner until 11 pm.

To you who are living in parts of the world with several lock downs over the past 10 months: life in Pattaya has been always better than probably anywhere in the world. Last year we had a “hard” lock down for a couple of weeks with pools, beaches closed and the sale of alcohol prohibited.

This “soft” lock down lasted for 5 weeks and the worst restrictions have been no alcohol at restaurants (but you could buy and drink at home) and massage, bars and for a short period pools closed.

So those who had a private house with pool and had dinner on the terrace life was as normal as it could have been.

We also had the coldest winter since I moved to Pattaya with temperatures down to 16 degrees Celsius in the night – many of my friends abroad had very bad weather and were confined to their homes.

Therefore an increasing number of my friends and customers went through the 14 days quarantine in exchange for a happy life that can last several months or years!

January brought much more business to Siam Properties, compared to the already good 3rd quarter 2020, the News Letters gaining attention and feed back on record levels.
