I researched the “Number 9” a bit. Beatle fans might remember “Revolution N.9” from the so-called “White Album”
Google came up with that:
However the number 9 symbolizes divine completeness or conveys the meaning of finality. As Christ die in the Ninth hour. Nine represents the fruits of God's Holy Spirit, which are Faithfulness, Gentleness, Goodness, Joy, Kindness, Long suffering, Love, Peace and Self-control (Galatians 5:22 – 23)

Chinese people like 9 very much as 9 has the same pronunciation with 久 (Jiu, meaning everlasting). On the Valentine's Day, a man usually presents his lover 99 or 999 roses to symbolize the eternal love.
The “9” is regraded as a lucky number in Thailand as well, and of course you can buy number plates for your car with 999..., if you can afford it.
And we all keep HM King Bumiphol Adulyadej in our hearts, the 9th king of the Chakri dynasty, Rama IX.
Wikipedia explained to me what I and probably most of you did not know before:
if any natural number is multiplied by 9, and the digits of the answer are repeatedly added until it is just one digit, the sum will be nine.
