It is not over but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. This is not back to normal – tourist still need 14 days of quarantine – but a few weeks ago you had to have an ELITE Card, work-permit or a Thai family – if NOT there was now way to come into Thailand at all.

It will not bring in 40 M visitors, 14 days of quarantine will stop most of the travelers.

On the positive side: it is better than before, it is better than spending an European winter with lock down. And once you are in, it is life as usual, you can enjoy markets, beaches, restaurants the same way you did on your last visit -you need a mask to get into 7-11 and malls, hospitals etc.

And if you have pre-conditions, are above 60 years old, you will be safer in Thailand than in almost any country on this planet - BECAUSE Thailand closed the country!
